Three new professors from the Universidad Peruana Unión (UPeU) were qualified as «CONCYTEC Researchers» after meeting the evaluation criteria required by the National Registry of Science, Technology and Technological Innovation (Renacyt).
The qualified professors are: Dr. Mayela Cajachagua Castro, with Renacyt code P0027759, in the María Rostworowski category, level II; Esteban Tocto Cano, with Renacyt code P0020646, in the María Rostworowski category, level III; and Julio César Cjuno Suni, with Renacyt code P0043809, in the María Rostworowski category, level I.
Among her achievements, Dr. Cajachagua is an undergraduate and postgraduate research professor and founder of the Scientific Journal of Health Sciences of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the UPeU. She is also the initiator of the Scientific Society of Students in Health Sciences (SOCES).
Professor Tocto is the main teacher assigned to the Systems Engineering career at the UPeU and is currently an external evaluator of the Quality of university higher education for the Sineace.
Professor Cjuno is an undergraduate and graduate university professor, researcher and reviewer in journals indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and Scielo, among others. He is a specialist in Clinical and Social Bioethics certified by RedBioética UNESCO and an associate member of PSYCOPERÚ.
Thus, they are now part of the National Registry of Science, Technology and Innovation (RENACYT).
It is important to mention that Renacyt is administered by Concytec and its objective is to register people and institutions dedicated to research in order to give them national and international visibility. It also compiles the research production of the whole country.
