Taking care of your health is important. That is why the Peruvian Union University has a physical activity program called «Actívate UPeU» which is part of the integral training of its students.
Actívate UPeU» aims to encourage physical activity in the context of a healthy university and promotes a different lifestyle.
In this context, on Monday, September 13, the opening of the program for the 2021-2 academic year was held with the participation of professors and students of the professional schools of this university in its three campuses Lima, Juliaca and Tarapoto.
The program was carried out via the Zoom virtual platform, where the coordinators who will be in charge of «Actívate UPeU» in the three campuses were introduced.
As part of the event, attendees actively participated in a day of physical exercises led by Mr. Luis Fernandez, professor of PE.
Afterwards, the following tips were given after a day of physical activity: cool down, stretching exercises, hydrate, eat well, do breathing exercises, let the body recover and bathe at the right time.
These activities will be carried out continuously during the 2021-2 academic semester in physical culture classes.
Thus, the Peruvian Union University has a healthy university community with the practice of physical exercise despite the distance and remote work.
