Part of the anniversary activities of the Titicaca Adventist High School (CAT) and the Peruvian Union University (UPeU) Juliaca Campus, was the week of prayer entitled «I go», from September 20 to 25.
Starting at 7:00 a.m., CAT and UPeU staff met through the Zoom virtual platform to meditate on various biblical lessons, with Pr. Jaime Perez, director of University Welfare at UPeU, as speaker.
The objective of these days was to strengthen the spiritual life of the entire Unionist family. As a result of this week, 5 people gave their lives to God through baptism, among students and professors of both UPeU and CAT.
An example of this important decision was the testimony of Dr. Astrid Lino Talavera, a professor at the UPeU: Juliaca Campus, who on September 23 accepted God through baptism in the midst of a special ceremony of worship, the baptismal ceremony was led by Pr. Gluder Quispe, president of the Peruvian Union University.
Dr. Astrit expressed her joy and gratitude for this decision: «I am grateful to UPeU, because since I started working at this institution, I have always felt the unconditional support of my colleagues and administrators, more than a work center, this has become a special place and I consider them all a family. This decision to be baptized is thanks to the wise advice I have received from the pastors and my colleagues».
In this way the UPeU: Juliaca Campus in its 20 years of university life and the Titicaca Adventist School in its 99 years of institutional life, continues to contribute to the spiritual formation of the entire Union students and Ceatence community.
